Really affordable bungalow just next the beach run by a real cool australian guy. Best you can have in Koh Rong! !

Great locations in between long set beach and koh toch village. Lovely and peaceful.

Power was lost but it was lost all over the island so cannot be helped.

Great location, in the jungle so it feels authentic. The staff were very kind and helpful. 5 minute walk to Nest so we enjoyed nestival with our accommodation so near by. There isn’t a beach when you immediately walk out but there are sun loungers, there are beaches a 5 minute walk away. The rooms were frequently cleaned and we asked the staff to clean our room earlier one day and they did. Water refill was available but it costs money. Fan above beds however no AC but the room temperature was fine. Due to my food poisoning we needed to stay another night and the staff were very accommodating in sorting this out.

Since it’s in the jungle, there are LOTS of bugs. We had ants, big geckos and lizards, mice (this is because we had food in our room though so just don’t bring food in), small spiders, mosquitoes etc. For me this was too much (but I have a fear of bugs). This isn’t the fault of the staff of course this is just due to the location. Mosquito nets were provided but I still got bitten a lot however due to food poisoning I was stuck in the room all day. The water supply in our room stopped momentarily but otherwise was quite weak.

It was a very authentic bungalow, situated at the edge of the jungle, right on the beach. Good location, fairly close to town so only a short walk to get food or go to bars. The receptionist was really friendly. The beds were comfortable and clean.

The rooms weren’t sealed up and therefore allowed for all types of wildlife to enter. There is a mosquito net provided, but we would still wake up with lots of bites even with putting on plenty of repellent. There was also a Rat that got in, which I had to chase out of a hole in the bathroom area. Shower was fine, but would leak water. The property says WiFi included, however, it does not stretch to the rooms from reception - and half the time it didn’t work at all even at reception. Could do with more social areas. There’s just a few things that could really elevate this hotel and make it so much nicer.

This was the 3rd time we have stayed at Starfish but was pleasantly surprised that there is now hot water for the shower. Also a new extended beach area. The location is perfect. So peaceful but right between the nightlife on Koh toch beach and long beach (after a short walk through lovely jungle. We were able to watch hornbills from our balcony most afternoons and Sothery who runs it is a brilliant cook. The only place to stay for us.
