Charming and unexpected corner of England in St Louis.
A bold attempt at recreating ' Ye Olde England" with some fascinating furnishings and literary themed rooms. Without doubt the jewel is the snuggest, cosiest bar west of Cornwall, which is only missing Dick Turpin entering in a tricorn hat and demanding "your money or your life". Definitely worth a detour, whether staying at the hotel or not!

Overall pleasant stay, although seemed a bit overpriced for what was offered.
Comfortable bed and bedding, good location close to the WashU campus, good breakfast and coffee, easy and reasonably priced parking, very nice and helpful staff.
It could have been a tiny bit cleaner, nothing major just like dust in the corners. There was no mini fridge in the king deluxe room which I found a tad surprising. Otherwise it seems a bit overpriced, but overall pleasant stay. The interior is a bit dark for my taste, but I understand that’s partly the vibe of the hotel. Maybe just some additional lighting in some of the hallways could brighten things up.
