The perfect resting point for cycling the Shimanami Kaido route.
The perfect resting point for cycling the Shimanami Kaido route. Plenty of space for the 4 of us to recuperate (we cycled from Onomichi to Imbari and back, stopping here after the 90km to rest. The owner was super friendly and kindly made us a reservation in an amazing local restaurant. She also tipped us off about an incredible park with 1000 cherry trees, which we picnic'ed at - which was one of the highlights of the trip.

New and clean room with view.
Everything! It was brand new. Lovely view . Everything you need if you want to cook. Staff was very friendly. She booked the restaurant for us.
It was very hot inside the room but we managed to open a small window and switch the fan on.

Warm welcoming and traditional stay.
Lovely welcoming hosts, made us lemonade on arrival from lemons grown locally. Gave us tips of local area. View from the room was amazing at sunset. Great location.

Comfortable and fantastic view homestay.
We were very fortunate to have a chance to stay at Hakata Plus homestay. The unit was new and very clean. it was also very close to Hakatajima Bus Station. Lawson mini market was just beside the bus stop. The host Keiichi and wife were very friendly and extremely helpful. So coincident it was Cherry Blossoms at Hirakiyama Park, appreciate Keiichi to drive us there for sunset view. We were so excited to see the beautiful Sakura all over the mountain. Really appreciate his kindness to spend time for us. The homestay's view was excellent in which the window screen focuss the entire view of the beach, island and the Oshima Bridge. It was the perfect stay among many places we stayed in Japan. Highly recommended place to stay for those whose come to Hakata Island.
