A day trip would have covered everything there.
The train system to get to Veranna was efficient and clean. The view from the room was delightful across the lake. Also the views to the villages from the boats are superb.
The furniture in the annexe rooms is very basic and not particularly welcoming. We had to use the kettle off the floor (socket issue). There is quite a bit of noise from the corridors and when unlocking of doors by guests. You can also clearly hear the next door chatting as well as using the toilet! The breakfast was std. fare. All cold servings, no hot food.

Stunning view of Lake Como in a town full of atmosphere.
Amazing location (not in the main Albergo - in Casa Rossa) with splendid views of Lake Como. Walking distance to everything although this always includes many stairs. Breakfast was good and located on the balcony in the main Albergo with stunning views. We enjoyed a stunning sunset during dinner at the restaurant there at night - food was excellent. Staff very helpful - and resolved a hot water issue promptly! Highly recommend and would happily stay again!
Tricky to move larger bags because of the stairs and cobbled ways - as the hotel warns - but this can be minimised with some pre-planning.

Location and views from terrace were excellent. Staff were friendly.
Only offer hard boiled eggs - no alternative egg options available or cooked items. On one of the three mornings of our stay, one of the waitresses was also not too forthcoming in offering barista hot drinks instead trying to get us to use the pre-made standard tea/coffee unless you pushed you wanted the barista style specifically.
