Fantastic service from start to finish, amazing location, clean comfortable rooms, nice and quiet. Could not have asked for anymore !

Great design, lost in translation.
The room: Well appointed and spacious. The location: Great location.
The hotel staff lack in friendliness, I stayed for over a week and left feeling like a stranger. The breakfast is heavily understaffed, they explained to me that labour is expensive. The hotel does not cater for Lunch/Dinner for a long stay guest. .. The restaurant is an independent operator who caters for the local Amsterdam market, this was made clear to me when I returned one afternoon wanting to work from a table in the restaurant (there is no lounger) and they told me I had to order food to sit there. My room was only cleaned daily at 16h00. The one day I bumped the attendant in the passage and asked her to please take note of the laundry. I returned that night to find she had not taken the laundry. ... The next day I asked her why not and she said I would need to ask Reception to do the laundry.

Stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam.
I have stayed at Hotel V many times and it is the perfect boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam - easy to walk everywhere. The restaurant is also exceptional.
A little grumble, despite staying at the Hotel V many times it does disappoint me that they never acknowledge I've stayed before or make any effort to say 'welcome back'? Hopefully this will change next time & there might be some flowers in the room! ?!
