Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa is situated in La Fortuna, Provincia de Alajuela, Costa Rica. We offer Wi-Fi connection for your stay with us. Parking is available on site. Cozy Hotel with Spacious Rooms and Sensational Hot Springs.
We spent 2 nights at this hotel and were overall satisfied with our stay. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. We were particularly impressed by the sensational hot springs, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, a recommended accommodation for a relaxing stay with the opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the area.
However, it’s worth noting that the room was somewhat dimly lit, and we had to step outside to see the promised volcano view, as it wasn’t visible from inside the room. The breakfast offered at the hotel is overpriced for what it provides.

Thermal spa lover must!
Unique place. Thermal spa- absolutely one of the kind. Floating hot river- great experience. Hotel nicely maintained.
Breakfast. Very little choices. Only 1 person for omelette station. The breakfast restaurant is too dark. Food in the main restaurant- below expectations.

Lacked Costa Rican vibe and served American style food.
Very good breakfast. Liked the Hot springs. Very clean.
Looked and felt very American motel style. No Costa Rican vibe. Menus very American. The hotel restaurant only had one veggie choice, pasta with tomato sauce! We ended up with room service every night which was good and had Veggie options. Pool at hotel closed a lot of the time and it was a shuttle ride to the hot springs, disappointed we couldn't have a quick dip before or after our activities.

Amazing thermal spa.
This hotel is amazing. The spa is just incredible, we never wanted to leave. The hotel is worth every penny just to stay to be able to enjoy the thermal pools that much longer. The rooms were lovely and had everything you needed.
Loads of dead bugs around the corridors to the rooms which I can only assume is from the hotel spraying something to kill them. Not sure it's necessary to do this.
