misleading pictures & unprofessional staff, but great location and nice breakfast.
1) great location. 2) very tasty breakfast.
1) average standard of rooms- in reality it looks way worse than Booking. com pictures. 2) dirt in the rooms (eg. glasses). 3) unprofessional staff eg. wrong communication about SPA area, mistakes in room settlement.

Beautifully renovated comfortable hotel.
Interesting and tasteful renovation while retaining the historic features. Well insulated rooms with triple glazed windows. Effective under floor heating. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of teas, adequate coffee, eggs and a huge range of cold dishes al of high quality, and presented in a sunny spacious room. Plents of towels. The room was very spacious with a good sitting area. Staff were universally friendly.
I think there is no standardisation for star ratings but I was expecting slippers and towelling robes. The bed mattress was rather soft and springy and there were still some renovation tetehing problems like the shower and sink plug. A separate WC is handy but would be better if it had a small handwash basin. Although the Hotel entry on Booking Com states there is a streaming sevrice like Netflix, the old TV in our room was not "Smart" and offered only cable. So if this is important to you, ignore the entry and take your Amazon Fire Stick! The wifi is very good. There was a coffee machine and kettle in our room and plenty of coffee but no decaffinated and no tea. But Billa is only a few metres from the front door. The spacious room could have done with more furnishings especially somewhere to put a case. Lighting is poor.
