Exceptional.
The hotel is amazing! It's an old bull ring as indicated in the hotel description. An old aqueduct passes right by it. The whole atmosphere is rather charming. I arrived on an early morning flight. They let me check in right away as they had a room ready- though the actual check in time is 3pm. Throughout my stay I found the staff very friendly, kind and efficient. I have to make particular mention of Rebecca at the front desk. All of the requests I made to her were efficiently followed through. I also asked for a late check out on my fourth day (had an evening flight). She checked to see if there was availability and allowed me to stay on. She is also fluently atleast bilingual (English & Spanish) from what I saw. The other person I have to mention is the person in charge of the breakfast area. The breakfast that's included in the room rate is a continental style one with bread, fruits, coffee. I was curious about the Mexican fare they had on the weekend buffet. He practically helped me prepare a taco with yesca- walking with me the stations to assemble all the components! So on Sunday I went for the full buffet, paying ofcourse the difference in price. The room was pretty big and the bed was comfortable with a good variety of pillows. Very good housekeeping services.
Nothing really that would prevent me from staying here again! If I have to come up with any downsides. .. The rooms are not soundproof, but again the location is not noisy. One night that i went to bed early there was some noise from traffic and I used earplugs. The hotel is in the center but not right at the plaza de armas. On a map it is a short walk, but you have to climb up and down a hill.

Bar was closed, exterior noise in the room, mostly from hallways and other bathrooms. Food too expensive at the restaurant.

the mattresses in poor condition and sank and the bathtub was clogged.
