Keeping in mind it is a mountain hostel and not a 5 star hotel. It has been excellent and the two managers really love their activity and provided an excellent "lentils' stew".
Being the first time there I was a little nervous finding the door locked. ..a small " we are here" sign could help.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The hostel was perfect, really lovely atmosphere and very clean.

Portezuelo del Viento was a perfect hostel to stay at after the base camp trek to Aconcagua. The staff are super friendly and made us feel at home from the start. I would recommend staying for as long as you can on your trip, as there are lots of treks to do around the hostel, which the staff which gladly help you plan. Much Love, the couple from the north of England.

A lovely hostel with special atmosphere close to the highest mountain of South America.
A lady at the reception was amazing and she made a delicious dinner. The hostel has its charm and it was lovely having dinner & breakfast at the venue.
It was very cold all of the time but especially at night.
