Paphos Gardens Holiday Resort

Breakfast was very good, many things to choose from! Staff was friendly. There was welcome gift in our room, bottle of wine, fruits and some sweets and when we left, they gave us a box of local sweets. Large apartment. There are live events every evening at the main house. Ok value for money. Hotel location is near (walking distance) the beach.

If the hotel is more crowded, you have to wait in line for breakfast. Cats (most of them streetcats? ) inside the hotel lobby, but I guess, they are everywhere in Cyprus. Our apartment at Violeta house was not in the best condition. It needs renovation, room and furniture are outdated. Cleaning is not very good, especially floor corners. One day, power went out for about 4 hours.

Feels like home. Great foods and heated indoor pool was amazing.

Breakfast was abundant. Location is in the heart of city, walking distance from all main attractions in city. Rooms are quiet and large. There is a big swimming pool for grownups and small for children. Also they have a playing ground for children. And they have their own small cat farm, that is mandatory to all Mediterranean hotels.

Breakfast had always the same selection of food, no alternation. The beach was close to the hotel but it was not a good swimming or tanning beach. For that you had to walk further or take a bus to other part of city. I think that cleaning in Greek culture means only making up the bed. It was written on our information sheet that room cleaning is done every day ( or when we want it ) and every second day they change the bed sheets and towels. Towels they shorly change, but bed sheets stayed the same at least the last 4 days, if not the whole time. Sweeping the floor is not traditional cleaning practice for stewards. Our son ( 1 year old ) found many hair of previous guests on the floor and everywhere on the furniture. Also, we had a fly larva in our toilet that turned into cocoon during our time of stay ( i am sad that i did not see it turn into a fly at the end. It was right next to the toilet pot and nobody even touched it :) . Also, sand and everything else from outside, that came in, was sweeped under the furniture and bed. But for me it is not a problem. I am used to live with cats and dogs so sand on the floor and some hair on the furniture is ok. for me but for more paying customer it might be a shock.

Not very far from the airport… Check in possible late in the evening… Lots of parking space outside .. Room size was reasonable… They had a safe in the reception area as well, which you can use free of charge (safe in room costed 2.5 euros per day )… Close (5 mins walk) to a small but very good sandy beach. .

Microwave not working properly in the room. . Lots of cats in the hotel. .they will come and sit on tables, chairs and sometimes in your lap as well. .:). Not a lot of vegetarian / vegan options in the breakfast menu. . No water bottle, tea / coffee sachets provided in the room.
