The staff is super nice and cooperative. The hotel is quite old but maintained quite well. There are many facilities such as swimming pool, large gym and yoga room. Very clean.

convenient for public transportation only.
Ask for non-smoking room. ..but still can smell the smoke especially at the corridor. The room is quite clean, but it's time to do the renovation. Unpleasant odor in the room. Upon entering, a strong, stale odor hits me. If we add an additional 200~300++, we can stay at a 5 star hotel. We are staying here because it is convenient for public transportation only.
We requested to keep a very important parcel that was sent to a hotel before we checked in, but the department did not respond. Please contact the department directly. Concierge only next to the reception counter. I'm curious why it's so difficult to assist.

Very clean city with lots to see and do. The Grand Mercure (Oriental Ginza) hotel is in a good locat.
This hotel is directly in front of a subway entrance. The subway system has 11 tracks that are named in English as well as Chinese. By carrying a subway map i could always find my way back to the hotel.
China is not geared for English speaking tourists. However, most people had a translator App on their phones and were very ready to help me/us when we needed it.
