The best in Rio de Janeiro.
Whoever is looking for a comfortable, clean hostel with a good location in Rio de Janeiro, I advise him not to bother searching, as you will not find anything better and cheaper than Massape Rio hostal.

The location was superb. The keys to the room was a nice touch, gave me a sense of security.
It needs to be cleaned a bit more.

The hostel is located in the party area, so it is going to be very loud on Friday-Sunday nights. But if you like parties, they are just across the street.
It is simply not cozy. The kitchen and dining area are in the inner rooms and don't have windows. All the kitchen equipment, furniture, and bed sheets look old and broken.

Good hostel near the center of Rio.
Cheap, comfy beds, nice staff.
It gets quite hot and they only turn the aircon on at night. If you are staying there and have the option to, choose a room in the bottom floor as it is better aerated. The area doesn’t have much to see so you will inevitably have to travel quite a bit, but considering the cost it’s worth it.
