Exceptional
It is near the rail line for Tijuca in a reserve close to the redeemer. Great breakfast, Helena was friendly and accommodating. We were given a personal tour - it was so good to see the city that way. The monkeys were swinging around having fun with the dog. Peaceful and safe. I recommend it 100%.
The hills are always a small challenge yet it is worth going back. The lock on the door entrance needs to be fixed.

Beautiful stay with Helena.
Excellent location to visit Christ the Redeemer, less than 10 min walk. Helena gave us dinner suggestions, with in walking distance. Breakfast was plentiful and has something for everyone. The bungalow was quiet, bed and linens were great. Plenty of hot water. Property is beautiful, like staying in a garden.

A beautiful place in Rio.
Helena and Diogo do their very best to make your stay in Rio a great one. I loved the old house with the jungle setting and the views of the valley with beautiful flowers, birds and monkeys and of course their lovely dog, George. Breakfast is big and varied and you will never go hungry. It is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the tourist crowds and stay in a safe and secure area but only a short drive away to the main places such as Copacabana and Ipanema etc.
It's up a steep hill so if you want to walk back it can be a bit of a challenge especially in the heat but there are plenty of ubers and taxis that will take you straight to the front gate.

Beautifully comfortable and homey. Great tour.
The property was very comfortable, rustic and homely with a great central location. Very close to Christ the redeemer. The best part of the stay we’re the hosts who attended to any and all queries promptly and arranged a lovely driving tour of Rio sites which was very useful if you have short time. In the city.
The location was quite high up a steep hill. It’s ok if you can walk, but not all taxi/Uber go all the way up!

It's a lovely house, with a beautiful view, I loved the garden too! The hosts Helena and Diogo are so sweet and made me feel warm and welcome. The breakfast was always thoughtfully prepared. Thank you for making my stay such a wonderful experience! I highly recommend Casa Caminho do Corcovado!
