Disappointed in Caribe Hilton, San juan.
The location was beautiful. The lobby area was inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was free waters at the desk which was appreciated.
We are very disappointed with the Hilton brand now, and we are Hilton honor members. The condition of the rooms are poor and lacked comfort. The carpet is old and smelly. The beds were lumpy and the sheets smelled like mildew. There was mold in the bathroom sink and shower. There is no microwaves so you can not warm up any left overs, so we wasted a lot of food. The breakfast was powdered eggs and bacon every day and we paid 35.00 a day for, which is really sad for a Hilton. Every where we ate at this resort was over priced and poor quality food and drinks. . We were stuck in the elevator, which dropped 2 floors first. This experience was unsatisfactory.

We bought the inclusive breakfast for $23 a day, thankfully, bc when they brought the check it would have been $72 which was a bit outrageous. The breakfast was very good with ample choices. ...but not worth $72.

The location was great, close proximity to Old San Juan and the airport. We had breakfast one day at the hotel and it was decent. And dinner one day by the pool and that was good too.
For what you pay, it’s a lot, as no food or drink is included in that cost.
