Nice hotel but some issues should be fixed to justify the price.
Room and location were super nice. Great area to go for walks. Nice shower too, felt like a spa experience. Bed was large and comfortable. The staff was overall friendly. The place feels relaxing and calm.
When we arrived the key cards didn't work 3 times and we had to go back to the reception (which was quite far from the room) over and over again, all in all it took almost an hour after arrival until we got into the room, which was a little frustrating considering the price of the room. I wish they had let us into the room using the central key from the start and then figured it out, as it was late at night and we were so exhausted from the drive. Also the curtains were broken and the table had large scratches. There were also no coffee cups and the socket close to the coffee machine did not work. The breakfast was ok but not as good as it was a couple of years ago. The cheese platter wasn't refilled and used plates weren't picked up from the tables fast enough, overall the staff seemed a little disorganized and not attentive enough. These are not dramatic things for sure, but these details matter immensely for the overall experience. I am sure my observations have to do with having to restaff quickly after covid and the team not being used to working together or having to take care of a greater number of guests, but I really hope they can get it together soon.
