We loved our Aguticapa stay and would have stayed longer had we known how well located it was for Volcan Tenorio park (Rio Celeste), and an organic cocoa plantation (Tree Chocolate) that gave us a truly memorable tour miles from the ubiquitous tourist traps in the area. The bungalow itself was large, beautiful and very comfortable, with everything you can think of, including a small kitchenette. It is part of a small, family-run complex surrounded by lush vegetation, terraces and even a small swiming pool. The breakfast, included in the price, was delicious and served in our room. The area is rural, set in gorgeous mountains, though there is a large, well stocked supermarket within a 15-minute drive. To note that a car is a must (we did fine without a 4x4 as Aguticapa is on a paved road).

Superb
Lovely spacious bungalow. Location not far from town and amenities and pool was small but perfect for cooling off when needed. Great trail along the river for a nature hike and breakfast was simply amazing! ! Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic can’t wait to return and highly recommended.
Manuel loves to tour you through his farm explaining all plants and wildlife. Monkeys sloths bugs birds everything and the stars are magnificent.
Nothing could be better it exceeded our expectations.
